With passion for photography
AN EXPERIENCE AS UNIQUE AS YOU
Amanda Hamborg is an on-location portrait and lifestyle photographer, specializing in high-school seniors, families, and children.
I create custom portrait sessions to capture you, as you are; and your life, as it is, at this very moment.
My goal is to create a relaxed, pressure-free environmenty. I want to capture you at your most natural and spontaneous. I do everything I can to make the experience fun and carefree. I work almost 100% with natural light, in natural settings where you can relax, play, and feel comfortable being your beautiful self in front of the camera.
I’ll be snapping away freely, capturing eyes, smiles, laughter, love, beauty, silliness, and pure joy.
But who ARE you?
Who am I? That is a question I will be asking you to answer about yourself, so I guess I'll go first: I am a wife to a wonderful husband, and mother to three beautiful girls. I am a follower of Christ, who will probably never understand the full extent of His love for me. I love to sing, and love the idea of one day maybe learning to play the guitar. I am a photographer (and I like to state the obvious). I love to cook, but don't do it as
often as I should. I love to make lists, but rarely cross items off as I finish them. I prefer to write than to type, and love the smell and feel of an actual book as opposed to a digital copy. I like the tangible, and the nostalgic - and maybe this is why I have such love for photographs.
I just think it's so cool. Not cool in a glamorous or hip sort of way, but in an awe-inspiring, I-can't-believe-I-get-to-do-this-every-day sort of way. It is a special blessing to be able to follow your passion and creativity, and I am so thankful that God has given me this wonderful opportunity to connect with people and create artwork and lasting memories for their families. Imagine that you could freeze a moment in time - your child's laugh; your parents as they are holding hands; that day every single person was happy; seeing your daughter dressed up from prom; seeing that same daughter full of excitement as she is about to go out and take on the world after graduation - any of these moments, or all of them... Wouldn't it be nice to capture them in a timeless way, and return to them whenever you'd like? To have the ability to hold the fleeting moments of our lives in our hands, and not only never forget them, but to be able to share them with the ones we love for generations to come? THAT is the beauty of photography - and I love it.
